Hello Everyone,
My name is James, and I’m a graphic designer and photographer from East Oakland. While I have experience in both fields, my primary focus is graphic design, specializing in creating posters and t-shirts. Photography remains a passion of mine that I pursue alongside my design work.
I have been designing for over a year and a half and have been capturing photos since I was eight. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the opportunity to work with prominent organizations such as FOX Sports and the United States Football League (USFL). At just 14, I never expected to collaborate with major organizations so early in my career—I always thought those opportunities would come later, perhaps around 18. However, I’m proud to say that I’m currently interning with NFL on FOX, where I’ll be creating artwork for their social media platforms.
My goal is to continue expanding my portfolio by pursuing more opportunities and internships. Ultimately, my dream is to work with the Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco 49ers, and the NFL as a whole. As a proud Filipino-American, I also aim to represent my culture in the design industry, especially in the Bay Area, where Filipino graphic designers are quite rare.
Many people in my community and even my friends and family aren’t familiar with graphic design, but I’m excited to share my journey and bring more awareness to this field. This is just a little about me, and I look forward to growing as a designer and making an impact in the industry!
